What is a pre-job safety meeting?

A short meeting before the work starts. The crew goes through the job, the hazards, the controls, who does what and what to do in an emergency. Some sites call it a prejob, a tailgate or a pre-task meeting.

Is this the same as a JSA?

Not quite. A JSA breaks a job into steps and sets controls for each. This form covers the meeting itself. Many crews use both, and some sites accept one in place of the other. Follow your procedure.
