How PortalBase texts work, and how to stop them.

PortalBase is software companies use for their frontline work: training, inspections, forms and safety records. PortalBase Ai LLC sends text messages from PortalBase's number for those companies, to their own people, about their work.

1. Who sends them

Your company. A company that uses PortalBase decides whether it sends work texts. Its administrator turns them on in PortalBase's settings and confirms that the company's people agreed to get work texts from it. PortalBase keeps who turned them on and when.

While they're on, everyone at that company with a mobile number on file gets them. While they're off, nobody there does, and everything still comes by push notification and email.

2. What we text

  • Reminders when work is due soon or overdue: a training, an inspection, a form or a task.
  • Announcements from your company, including urgent ones you haven't opened in the app.
  • Notifications your supervisor sends you about your work.
  • An invite to sign in to PortalBase, when your company adds you.

No marketing and no ads, only your company's notifications.

3. What you're told

The PortalBase app and website show this wherever your mobile number is entered or shown, and once after you first sign in:

"Your company sends reminders, due dates and announcements by text through PortalBase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

In the app, it names your company. The first text you get from us says how to stop, too.

4. How often

Message frequency varies with the work your company gives you. Message and data rates may apply.

5. How to stop

Reply STOP to any text. You'll get one text saying you're unsubscribed, and no more texts after that. Your profile in PortalBase shows that your number replied STOP.

You'll still get push notifications and email, and everything stays in your Notifications list. To start texts again, reply START.

6. Help

Reply HELP to any text, or email hello@portalbaseai.com.

7. Your number

We use your mobile number to send these texts and, when you sign in with it, your sign-in codes. Sign-in codes come only when you ask for one, and are separate from these texts.

We don't share your mobile number, or your company's agreement to get texts, with anyone else for their marketing or promotions. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
